Six characteristic of Ethics


Introduction 

In a workplace we have expectations to strive for. One of these expectations is to practice good ethics and have morals. There are six ethical terms we must follow in the workforce. Even though they seem the same they are all different in their own unique way.



Ethics 

Ethics are moral principles that are expected of us to apply in society. It’s a guide to worldly living and to judge whether behaviors are justified.


Values 

Values help us to determine what is important to us. It is the worth of something. A person’s principles or standards helps  him decide what has value. In the workforce values are what a group of people, such as employees share. These are the same approvals or disapprovals employees have in a workplace.



Morals 

Morals are universal rules that are practiced in a society. It is the judgment of right or wrong that an individual or group share. Even though values and morals share common characteristics they are very different. Morals is a belief between right and wrong, values is people’s view on worth.



Integrity

Integrity is defined as someone being honest and sincere throughout daily decisions. It is a moral code that helps us be trusted. Integrity is an excellent characteristic that an employee shares in a workplace. Employers expect employees to share some integrity in decision making and other actions.




Character 

Character is something that can be destroyed our built. Character is best displayed while no one is looking. It’s a persons moral characteristics that come into play when making a decision or practicing an action. While working all and some character traits  that a person has can be displayed.




Law

Laws or rules that are enforced to protect people from moral or immoral actions taken  place by people. Laws are what protects people from  such things as murder rape and etc.
