Does diversity really include everyone?

Introduction   As a publicist part of your job is making sure your clients and employees are content with the business’s reputation. But how is that certain if clients, employees, etc. don’t feel represented or included?  Statistics  Still in 2021 diversity and inclusion for all is still lacking tremendously in the work world. The Bureau of of Labor Statistics found that about 88% of PR employees are white and 70% of that population is white women.               Representations        Television and media has consisted of an un diverse population. The only reputation Media portrayed was able bodied straight white men. Today boundaries are being pushed with more reputation of people of color, different sex orientation and so on.      Fundamentals of Caring               The movie fundamentals of caring is a really good movie of a boy with cerebral palsy and his new caregiver. This movie went to the nitty-gritty of the drama works a caregiver has to go through to take care of someone. It was also really uplifting because you could see the personality change the main character had after warming up and getting comfortable with his new caregiver. This is very relatable because I’ve had caregivers come and go but there are always a few that bring out the best of me. They’ll make me laugh and tell jokes. It’s hard depending...

Introduction  In a workplace we have expectations to strive for. One of these expectations is to practice good ethics and have morals. There are six ethical terms we must follow in the workforce. Even though they seem the same they are all different in their own unique way. Ethics  Ethics are moral principles that are expected of us to apply in society. It’s a guide to worldly living and to judge whether behaviors are justified. Values  Values help us to determine what is important to us. It is the worth of something. A person’s principles or standards helps  him decide what has value. In the workforce values are what a group of people, such as employees share. These are the same approvals or disapprovals employees have in a workplace. Morals  Morals are universal rules that are practiced in a society.   Defamation  Defamation is defined as the action of damaging the reputation of someone; slander or libel. With social media use increasing the concern of defamation has been   accruing. Defamation is a false statement with the intent of knowing it was not true.Keywords that journalists use to make a defamation seem like an opinion is using the word “allegedly”. Background     The Freedom of Information Act was created in 1955 by Democratic congressman John Moss and was later passed in1966. FOIA law gives people the freedom to have access of full or partial information and documents held by the United States government upon request. First Amendment

  The first amendment, created in 1971 along nine other amendments states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Throughout history we have seen the first amendment exercised.    Religion  The freedom of religion gives people in the United States an opportunity to choose and practice any religion they want to. No government/ state can oblige citizens to practice a religion, citizens have the free will to choose.
